A Mobile Consular Team of the Embassy of Bangladesh, Rome has visited Palermo, Italy (24-25 July,2021) to provide consular and welfare services to Bangladesh expatriate nationals. Following services were provided on the second day (25 July 2021) of the programme(total figures in two days' service is also mentioned along with daily figure):

Passport Renewal : 379 (total 745)

Certificate Issued : 89 (total 153)

No Visa Required (NVR): 30 (total 97)

Wage Earners' Welfare Board Membership Applied : 34 (total 51)

Appointment issued for photo and fingerprint change in Rome : 25 (total 75)

Consultations on miscellaneous issues related to Documentation: 50+(total 100+)

The Embassy also organised a Ganashunani (Public Hearing) at Palazzo Sefala, Via Alloro 99, Palermo at 7pm on 24 July 2021 with the presence of service-seekers and community leaders/representatives. The participants welcomed the initiative and shared their valuable suggestions to improve services etc. The officers replied to their queries.

Most of the service-seekers expressed their deep satisfaction about the multiple services provided to a large number of nationals while maintaining covid protocol strictly. It may be mentioned here that due to surge of covid-19, mobile services remained suspended for about ten (10) months.The Embassy sincerely thanks the service-seekers and other participants including community leaders for their generous support and cooperation.
